Passing Pattern - Vol 3 Launch @ Skyline Pitch
I was excited to attend the release of Passing Pattern Vol. 3. I love what these guys are doing—it’s the perfect mix of local and international perspectives on the beautiful game. The event took place at the stunning Skyline Pitch and featured free matches organized by Wolcott FC, vintage apparel curated by Crossbar, and music from Guesst. It was a perfect display of the cohesion within Chicago’s soccer community.
Los Angeles: Football Boutique
The Football Boutique brings fashion, art, and a deep love of soccer to Los Angeles. Anthony, the creator, took the time to show me around the space he’s built—a true gift to the culture.

Chicago Fire FC VS Orlando City - MLS Wildcard
Came out early with the 1871 Barn Burners, excited to see what banners would be featured for the playoffs! The Sector Latino supporters were also flying streamers and laying out banners before kickoff. Once everything was set, we headed back to the tailgate — a true celebration of the Chicago soccer community, with all the supporter groups and, of course, plenty of Malört.

The Third Annual Favella FC Futsal Tournament featured 10 teams competing for the prize this year! It was an exciting afternoon, with a two-group format that brought together some of my favorite people from across the city’s soccer community. Pilsen’s Reyes Park on 19th hosted a mix of footballers, artists, musicians, designers, creators, mixologists, organizers, vendors, and sports medicine professionals ... Vida de favela!

Edgewater Castle Finale / Crossbar Syndicate Flag Collaboration
I went to the final game for Edgewater Castle this year with my friend Thad from Crossbar Syndicate. The team had clinched the title by then, so the atmosphere was great. We also got to see the first project the group had completed together—upcycled pennants and corner flags they had created for the team.
Chicago FIFA League - Doubles Tournament @ Ignite Gaming Lounge
I attended the recent 2v2 tournament hosted by the Chicago FIFA League at Ignite Gaming Lounge in Chicago. The event was exciting, and I took some time to interview the organizer, Rizz, as well as a few of the players. Murtadha, who also played for Edgewater Castle, joined the conversation, and as a bonus we discussed the exciting conclusion to their season.
