House AC VS Green Bay Glory (WPSL)

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Langhorst Field in Elmhurst, Illinois, the home team Chicago House AC edged out the Green Bay Glory in a contentious clash in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) that captivated fans until the final minutes.

The match was hard fought, with an early goal from the Glory. The House responded quickly, equalizing in the 11th minute thanks to Emily Rossi. The score remained 1–1 for most of the match. Chicago House enjoyed several strong spells of possession and dictated the pace for much of the game — something I tried to capture in the video included with this post.

Both sides displayed tremendous skill and determination, but in the end, it was the House who outlasted the Glory. Just past the 90-minute mark, Alexis Suptela fired in a game-winner that sent the crowd into celebration.

Both the Glory and the House continue to push for greater opportunities and visibility in women’s soccer. Green Bay Glory was founded with this mission in mind — born out of the frustrations of people like co-founder Kerry Geocaris, whose return to professional soccer and to Green Bay highlighted the barriers to growth, including travel limitations and other challenges.

Chicago House AC is also known for its commitment to equality and inclusion, making it a core part of the club’s mission both on and off the pitch. Together, these two teams are a shining example of what can be achieved when a club is led by principles and passion.
